Key keepers are used for variety of postal and private applications. The most common postal application is for the mail carrier to gain access into a locked lobby. The postal access key keeper comes prepared for the postal arrow lock. The USPS installs the arrow lock to give them exclusive access to your lobby so they can deliver the mail. Private access key keepers are less common than USPS access key keepers.  One common user of private access key keepers are utility companies for their service employees.
